The Winery

The Bonfante & Chiarle Winery was founded in 1975 in Mombaruzzo by three friends - Luciano Chiarle, Giorgio Chiarle, and Domenico Bonfante - whose fathers were all vineyard workers. In each of their households, viticulture was not only a passion but their entire lives.

Bonfante & Chiarle began in the hills of Monferrato, a quaint region within Piemonte. Its growth has been possible through long-standing relationships with the growers in the territory, allowing them to become an important proponent of the Piedmontese wine world within a short few years of its founding. The winery now includes wines grown in the Langhe region, home to Barolo and Barberesco, which has further raised their standing on the global stage.
