This wine was granted the prestigious "Best of Class" award at the 2011 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition.
A nice example of cool-climate Chardonnay, this wine has the color of pale straw and aromas of mouth-watering lemon curd that continue into the palate, where they are layered in with Asian pear and crisp Golden Delicious apple. This is a medium-bodied, food-friendly wine with balanced acidity and a long, lemon citrus finish. A Chardonnay for those who've grown tired of the big-oak-and-butter style so popular in California Chardonnays of yesteryear.
