For those with New World palates, accustomed to wines dominated by ripe fruit flavors (and not much else), this wine will seem a bit odd at first. But pair this wine with some great food and by the third sip, it will win you over.
There's far more going on here than just fruit, and I think you'll find it to be a wine that rewards some thoughtful consideration.
At just 12.5% alcohol, you'll be able to drink more of this wine than you can most domestics. And if you're anything like me, that first glass always disappears faster than you want it to. If you're watching your weight, and/or alcohol intake, this is the sort of wine you should put at the top of your list. And at this price, why not make it your everyday house red?
