The WineThis bright and racy wine has a pleasing, lush mid-palate and bit of raspberry and pine on the finish. Though it is currently fashionable to insist on buying only the latest vintage of Rosé, I assure you that a well-made wine like this one will last well beyond 2021, delivering gobs of pleasure relative to wines at twice the price. Let the market forces work in your favor and take home a few of these beauties at a greatly reduced price!
The Winery
Fabre en Provence was created in 1920 by Henri Fabre Sr. in the village of Besse sur Issole. At that time the company was already selling wine from Provence and the rest of France. By the early 1900s, Henri had become the largest producer in the South of France.
After the acquisition of Château de la Clapière in 1928 and Château de L’Aumérade in 1932, Henri Fabre Senior devoted himself exclusively to his wineries. Among his accomplishments - he was an early adopter of the new bottling line technology, and a tireless promoter seeking recognition for the Côtes de Provence.
His son Louis Fabre joined him in the 1950's and helped develop the business in France and abroad, breathing new air into the company by modernizing the distribution channel and focusing on service and quality. By the time the 2000's rolled around, they were well-poised to benefit from the surge in demand for dry Rosé from Provence, finally enjoying the fruits of their century-old labor.
