Tasting Notes The nose yields hints of apples and pears with some aromatic meyer lemon curd and a dustier note of lemon thyme. The good acidity (6 G/L) keeps this wine in check, and yields a medium-bodied wine that works well with food, and is pleasant on its own. On the palate look for pine and honeysuckle and a second helping of that lemon curd. There's a tropical fruit fiesta in the mouth, led by a bit of grapefruit mist, sweet-tart apple and freshly grated ginger on the finish.
Food Pairing Suggestions: This wine can cut through a dish with some fat to it, refreshing the palate between bites. Look to bridge the wine with your dish by adding a bit of fresh herbs (lemon thyme comes to mind) to some kind of fat component be it dairy, fish, meat or buttery olive oil. In the tasting room, this wine has been a hit when paired with smoked trout, chicken, or charcuterie - all nicely enhanced with a citrus component that bridges to this wine's essential character.
