The Wine

Bright youthful garnet color of medium intensity. Sweet ripe cherry and red plum aromas with a hint of minerality and spicy pipe tobacco. Aromas are medium+ intensity. Aromas repeat as flavors, with a spicy lingering finish.

The Winery

Portlandia began with a journey from Florida to the Pacific Northwest. It was 1999 and Damian Davis was headed to his new job in the tech industry. A brief stop in the Willamette Valley for a quick wine tasting led to a car so over-burdened with bottles he barely made it to his new destination.

For years after that, Oregon’s wine country was a constant allure. He was smitten, eventually leaving his tech career to pursue a new start in the wine industry. And in 2008 he founded Portlandia. Those are his glasses you see on the label.

His vision is simple – create delicious wines while having fun and not paying too much. Over the years, Damian has developed relationships with passionate growers who share his goals. The results are Pinots that showcase the best of the Willamette Valley vintage after vintage. These are wines made to be enjoyed and to enhance the everyday, guided by our life philosophy: Play Hard. Work Later.

Portlandia Pinot Noirs have enjoyed scores ranging from 88 - 92, year after year.
