you're sure to hear about their love affair with wines
from high altitude vineyards. Pretty much everyone agrees
they can be described as unique. But some say they're way
more than that, that they're actually superior to the
same clonal selections grown in the same area but from valley floor
Why? Because being above the fog bank the
vines get more early sunlight, which means
more photosynthesis, which means better ripeness without high
sugars and without lowering the fruit's natural acidity. Ripe
flavors, moderate alcohol, and good acidity - what's not to
I'll have to let you be the judge here, but
whatever you think, I know you'll agree this is some damn fine wine
for around twenty bucks!
What About The Wine!? -
ok, ok, I know I can tend to go on and on with the details.
As for the wine, look for aromas of tropical fuit baskets, melon
and apple. On the palate, there are citrus aromas, hints of
lightly toasted almonds, apples and barely ripe pears with a zingy
citrus peel on the finish. crisp and refreshing, with just 13.1%
alcohol. Drink now through 2018.
