The Wine

100% Arneis, from the Roero Arneis DOCG. Dry, floral aromatics with stone fruits dominating the palate and a pleasant, refreshing finish with the slight bitterness (think almonds, perhaps grape seeds) that is a marker for Arneis.

Pairs well with seafood and poultry as well as fresh cheeses and salumi platter (esp one featuring a fine, thinly sliced prosciutto such as San Daniele!)

Drink now through 2024. 2,500 cases produced. 13% ABV. Stainless Steel fermentation and aging for 6 months on the fine lees.

The Winery

The Marchisio family started selling cask wine by the litre after WWII, and today the fifth generation of the family is crafting some of the region's most respected wines. Though they have a firm grasp of their strategy going forward in todays competitive wine landscape, they do so by leveraging the passion that Giovanni’s father brought to his winemaking in the 1940s.

Giovanni was able to expand his father’s vision by launching the commercial grape growing and wine making business. Following in Giovanni's footsteps was his son, Flavio, then grandsons, Stefano and Gianmario and today the young Lorenzo and Gabriele have taken up the family business.
