The Wine

This wine is classic Riesling, a benchmark for high-end expressions of the grape. Beguiling on its own, it provides a mouth-watering crispness and hints of seabed minerals and saline that beg to be paired with oysters and other fruits of the sea.

Aromas hint at peach, floral blossoms and a hint of the petrol that Riesling afficianados love (and which will continue to build as the wine ages, if you can give it some time). The balance between the acidity and minerality combined with the wine's softness make this unique wine harmonious and elegant.

11.5% ABV. Serve at 40 - 45 degrees with foie gras, Thai food, spicy curry and all manners of shellfish.

The Winery

Siblings Cristina, Giuseppe and Roberta Fugatti created Roeno as a tribute to their father Rolando. As growers they are committed to the traditional grapes of this area: Teroldego, Marzemino, Riesling, Müller Thurgau, and a rare, native grape called Enantio.

We selected this wine because Giuseppe’s precise, respectful winemaking style has resulted in a wine of the purest varietal character, freshness, and balance.
