The Wine

Badia a Corte is a Chianti Reserva from the Colli Fiorentini DOCG. The estate vineyard is located 1,200 feet above sea level where harvest is followed by natural yeast fermentations and 24 months in barrel. The wine's deep ruby color belies the acidic foundation that makes this wine so good with food.

Enjoy now through 2028+ and serve just slightly above cellar temperature (55-60 degrees F). Pair with braised, grilled or stewed meats, most pasta dishes and aged hard cheese.

The Winery

If you EVER find yourself in Tuscany, do yourself a favor and drive a few minutes into the hills outside Florence and spend a night enjoying the history and hospitality of Torre a Cona (literally, 'tower on a hill'). If the former hay stalls cum tasting room cubicles don't charm you, the restaurant clearly will. It will be a most memorable stay.

And the wines are similarly crafted with a sense of place in mind. Enjoy their classic Tuscan style wines, featuring Sangiovese as the primary grape, known for its ability to express a sense of place like few others.
